Pittsburgh...where did the orchestra come from!!!

So, my visit in Pittsburgh was great. I got to meet some incredible musicians who I'm definitely going to stay in contact with. I also got to see some friends from home since I have been on the road. The Club Cafe is an amazing venue and the sound was definitely top notch.

I haven't lost my faith in my fans but a lot are coming with empty promises. This has given me more time to meet new people. Because I'm getting stood up by some fans at shows I have decided to write this blog like I was in fifth grade! I know there is no relation but I'm going for it!

Bob can play some amazing strings, I think I was the only act he didn't get up and play with all night!
Jen and Jen!!! Easy enough!
And here is your host of the show Joel.
A pic of the city, while driving down Mt. Washington, with some nice effects on it.
So far this tour I have been traveling by myself but I just got some company with my tour manager Miss Lindsay!
The city of Pittsburgh at a distance while driving!
All of my bestest friends decided to join me in relatively close Pittsburgh!
My favorite person at the hotel we stayed at.
Winnie the Pooh trying to get me to drink at our hotel!
He was a great and funny musician at the Club Cafe and she was friends with the kid who road his bike across country in order to enlighten people of John Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation!

Buffalo/Lockport, NY - The Lake Effect

Well, I just missed the lake effect, thankfully! But while I was in Buffalo I got to meet up with my long lost cousin, who I haven't seen in awhile. We had a great time hanging out and she is still as beautiful as ever! Hopefully next time there won't be as long of a gap in visits.

The venue was really cool and the crowd was very attentive. We met a couple of great people that showed us around town after the show, even Popeye, right Matt!?!

I had a great time at the Daily Grind and look forward to playing there again for an actual show!

Rochester show, plus new shows added...

So, I had a great time in Rochester, it was brief but the people I met were very personable and attentive to the music.

Wayne hosted the show and was an excellent musician. He had some great stories, one in which he played in the subway of NYC for awhile! I also stayed with some great people, Barbara and Lea, from Couchsurfing.com, they made me feel welcomed and I have not had a bad experience with that site yet!

I have added a bunch of new shows you and more to come later today, check them out at www.myhellermusic.com/shows.html!

Syracuse Actors and Actresses.....

Last night I stayed with some incredibly gifted and entertaining Syracuse students. I had a great time teaching Miss Stella how to shoot pool. By the end of the night I believe she had beat me a couple times as well as Dimitre. Thanks for note as well, I'll definitely keep in touch with all of you, so if you see me on Facebook a lot more thank yourselves!

The shows was pretty cool, I got to meet some of my friends on myspace and they look pretty damn close to their pictures. It lead me to believe that it was in fact them and actually their pictures didn't do them justice.

I like to purposefully get lost in cities so I get to see them and learn a little about it. I found that Syracuse is a very cool little town, it reminded me a lot of WVU with the university on some steap hills. Well, it is timw for me to call it quits for today and I will tell you about the show I just finished up sometime tomorrow!

Much Love to everyone at Syracuse and I look forward to seeing everyone again, but next time they'll be on the big screen!

Dew-itt, dew-itt, dew-itt...what I do for my friends!

So I just got in to Syracuse, very cool little town but before I get ahead of myself, I want ot thank everyone for their hospitality so far. Yesterday I got to have a day off, catch up on some business stuff and not have to drive, yeahhhh!

I stayed with Juliana and here 2 roommates (flatmates) the last 2 days. They are all international students from different countries and I felt they had a better relationship then any American roommates I have seen try to co-exist! I am owed a 1 million Lats by the way! Here I am with all 3 of them.

I got into talks with someone I met but they don't like tattoos so I had to take a picture of my lone tat and place it out here in spite. It helps remember what I am playing when I forget a song!

Not only do I respond to people's messages while I drive, I also take pictures! Here is a place called Mohawk, had to get it because I am not cutting my hair the whole tour and then I am going to own a mohawk for a little while!

I also made a pit stop in Amsterdam! Pretty place but all of the Germans there had New York accents, through me off.
No show pics today but just wanted to check in!

Albany...who knew the open mics would be packed!

So, the Spanish tutor didn't show up on his first meeting with my new manager, who co-incidently gave me ADD! Well, the drive was nice but the weather changed like it is Nov. or something.

I got to the Muddy Cup Coffee House and the place was hoping but it really didn't get packed until the 30 musicians showed up to play. It limited the playing time to 1 song, luckily I'm a seasoned veteran and was able to roll one song into my cover of Fr..h Pr...e .f B.. A.., which rhymes with Mesh Lints Dove Smell Bear. The hosts were alright, they have put something pretty good together but were not all that accomodating.

Here are some pics from the evening and the lovely Latvian lady, Juliana, that let me crash at her place. She even learned to play a couple chords on the guitar, the teacher wasn't good but she made the most of it!

How to not get lost in the city....

First plan but you can't plan for the parking problems! So I drove around Boston looking for a place to park for about a half hour. I even did the common sense thing and went into a parking garage but they closed that entrance and 2 of the other 3!
Got to the venue and it was a nice set up with Mick running the show. They had the ceiling speakers through out the venue hooked into the PA. There were a bunch of great musicians that played there and of course I got pictures with everyone! This was the first time I had been to one with comedians and they were great. I have pictures with all of them below.

On to the show in Albany!

Much Love and until tomorrow,
Stephen

The woods of New Hampshire bring great music...

Before I trek down to Boston to jam tonight I must say that I have had a great time in New Hampshire.

The place that I jammed at last night, The Round Room Coffee House, was great. Everyone there was very friendly and the musicians that jammed also were great. Pam, the lady that ran the evening was awesome and I felt like I was at home, except I didn't sleep in my own bed that night!

Time to get to the travels! Next stops will be Boston tonight, Albany, NY tomorrow night, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo (Friday and Saturday), and then Pittsburgh. Look forward to seeing you out.

Much Love,
Stephen

Midnight volleyball in Rhode Island...

The show last night went pretty good, it was fun having a drummer sit in during the set.

I got to meet some of my friends from MySpace and hang out after the show. We went and played Volleyball and had a fire going. I must say I will never forget playing Volleyball at 11pm in Rhode Island. Everybody I met there was great and I even jammed with another musician, Joe P., an excellent original acoustic artist that may even hit the road with me for a little bit.

Tonight I will be in Mont Vernon, NH and then it is Boston, MA and onto New York. I do have cds with me so make sure you get one if you are at a show, it is how I pay my bills!
Much Love,
Stephen
